The NISSAN LEAF™ NISMO RC is a purpose-built racecar based on the Nissan LEAF. This car is the first all-electric production vehicle in the world. The NISSAN LEAF™ NISMO RC was unveiled at the 2011 New York International Auto Show in April. This car also first-ever zero emission racing spec production vehicle.
The Nissan LEAF NISMO RC is designed and constructed as a real racing machine, starting with its full carbon fibre monocoque bodywork. The three-piece bodywork includes removable front and rear sections, fixed windows, LED headlights and taillights and driver-adjustable rear wing.
Building on the unique exterior styling of the production Nissan LEAF, the 2-door race version was created by Nissan Global Design Center in Japan. Special 4-coat Pearl White paint with blue NISMO/Zero Emission graphics completes the exterior.
This car consists of 5 seats and a power source of laminated lithium ion battery that can be fully charged within 7-8 hours. Nissan will demonstrate the NISSAN LEAF™ NISMO RC at LE MANS VERS LE FUTUR, a support event for the 79th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, which takes place June 11-12.
