Rio start from fourth position at Valencia's Ricardo Tormo circuit on Sunday (4/9), and immediately raced into second place behind Adam Carroll (Campos Racing). After sticking Carroll for four laps, Rio made it through Turn 2 on lap five.
Indonesia racer who joined the team Dams, was not overtaken until touching the finish line first with a time of 24 minutes, 42.401 seconds. This is the best result in the Champions Auto Rio GP after it was finished second in Brno, June.
In the first race in Valencia, Rio managed to finish in fifth major. Of course the victory makes this Indonesian rider moved up to ninth in the standings by 58 points.
As for the championship U-21 years old Rio in fifth. However, Rio follow this event as a venue for the experience and adds flying hours in Europe because he's the focus is in the arena GP3.
