New York held the competition to find a new taxi

In addition touted as the world's busiest city, New York, also known by the nickname Taxi. City Thousands of yellow taxis (yellow cab) become synonymous with "The Big Apple" since become one of the mainstay of transportation in this city.

Recently, Taxi and Limousine Commission (Taxi and Limousine Commission / TLC) in New York is looking for a replacement candidate from the orthodox form of taxis. Competition is done by open tender, and have rolled since the middle of this year.

Of the thousands of participants register candidates, selected three finalists who compete for contracts with TLC, at least for 10 years. Of the three finalists, there is a Turkish automotive manufacturer Karsan that compete with other finalists, namely the Ford Motor Company and Nissan Motor Company.

TLC will announce the winners of this competition early next year, while the deployment unit of the new elected done starting 2014 after the older product that still operate today "retired". Until now, New York has 13,237 units of a taxi with 16 models from nine different car manufacturers in the world.
