Video : GP2 Valencia 2012, Rio Haryanto failed to finish

Indonesian rider, Rio Haryanto failed to complete the second race (sprint race) GP2 Series sixth series in Valencia, Spain (24/6). Rio collided with James Calado (Lotus GP team) on lap 20 of 23 laps.

Rio race on this race very well and has a chance to become champion. Several times through the Rio nearly Calado, who led for most of the race.

This race eventually won by Razia of Arden International team with a record time of 46 minutes 07.255 seconds. Calado won second prize with a time of 46 minutes 08.434 seconds.



Leimer captured third place with a time of 46 minutes 08.842 seconds, while Chilton was fourth with a time of 46 minutes 09.680 seconds.

In the sixth series in Valencia, Rio only added 10 points after the first race (feature race) Saturday (24/6) was ranked fifth.

"I am disappointed with this incident. But I feel satisfied I have been able to show potential and have been fighting a maximum. From now on, I sure can win the race in the GP2 Series is very competitive," said Rio.

Although failed to finish, Rio has shown to the eyes of the world that he could be a champion and be reckoned with and respected in the GP2 Series.

Finish in 14th, Rio could be better in GP2 Monaco 2012

Rio Haryanto to finish in the top-14 at the 2012 Monaco GP2 Feature Race. These results are quite good considering Rio started the race from the order of 23

Rio could have obtained better results if he does not hit drive through penalty due to cross out the wrong track boundary.

The race was dominated by drivers from Venezuela, Johnny Cecotto Jr. Barwa Addax team, despite constant pressure from the Swedish driver Marcus Ericsson (iSport International) and Van Der Garde Geido (Caterham Racing).

News : GP2 Bahrain 2012 Sprint Race, Rio finish sixth, Tom Dillmann wins

Rio Haryanto back to finish in 6th place in Race 2 Bahrain GP2 2012. These results repeat his achievement in feature race.

In a race that was held at the Sakhir circuit, Saturday (04/28/2012), Rio started from third position. In seventh lap, Rio under pressure from favorite rider this year, Esteban Gutterez and Davide Valsecchi.

After devouring 23 rounds, Rio finally finished in sixth with a time of 41 minutes 36.701 seconds. This race itself was won by rider of team Rapax, Tom Dillmann who won a record time of 41 minutes 16.276 seconds.

With these results Rio gets an additional four points from this sprint race. At the standings, Rio in 10th position with 16 points.

News : GP2 Bahrain 2012 3rd Series, Valsecchi won again, Rio finish sixth

Davide Valsecchi won again in third series GP2 in Bahrain International Circuit, Sakhir. Starting start at second position Valsecchi successful to beat owner of pole position Guido Van Der Gar (Caterham).

With this victory, Valsecchi will scored a hat trick if win a sprint race that will be held today at same place.

Meanwhile Indonesia rider, Rio Haryanto able to achieve positive results after finish in sixth p;ace. Rio failed to maintain its position after overtaken his team mate Max Chilton who have more experience in GP2 event, especially in terms of keeping tire compound is more durable.

Rio have a chance to improve his position in the standings if he get good results in second race (sprint), which begins today.

Video and Result : GP2 Bahrain 2012 Sprint Race, Valsecchi make double, Rio 15th

Indonesia racer, Rio Haryanto have to settle for finishing in 15th position in race two GP2 Bahrain 2012 at Sakhir Circuit.

Rio started sprint race from to ninth position. An incident with one of drivers, Gonzales on lap-6 make his car suffered front wing damage. As a result the position down to the rank-22.

But Rio could push his car so he can return to position 15th to the end of the race.

The second race again controlled by Davide Valsecchi (DAMS) with a time of 39 minutes 22.363 followed by Esteban Gutierrez (Lotus GP)in second and followed by team-mate James Calado.

News : GP2 Bahrain 2012, Rio Haryanto finish ninth

Rio Haryanto achieve significant positive results in Bahrain GP2 Race 1. The Indonesian riders from Marussia Carlin completed the race in ninth position and back to get extrapoints.

In the feature race at Sakhir Circuit, Saturday (21/04/2012), Rio started the race from 10th position to finish race all 32 laps in 1 hour 3.961 seconds. Meanwhile, DAMS rider, Davide Valsecchi, emerged as winners. Valsecchi finished 32.846 seconds ahead of Rio.

With this result, Rio get an extra two points and are in a position to-12 rider in the standings with four points.Valsecchi is on top with a collection of 55 points.

News : GP2 Sepang 2012, Rio Haryanto finish 10th in sprint race

Rio Haryanto finish 10th in race 2 GP2 Malaysia this afternoon. In the race that complete 30 laps, Rio record a time 41 minutes 32,081 seconds.

This record time better than race 1 which 56 minutes 53,553 seconds. Race 2 wins by James Calado of Lotus GP who record a time 41:08,048. Meanwhile, his teammate Esteban Gutierrez finish in second place and following by Felipe Nasr in third place.

Rio teammate, Max Chilton finish in 7th place with a time 41:23,733. In standing, Rio in 10 place with record fastest lap 1:50,849 and get point two. Meanwhile Chilton in 6th place with a point 17.

This race coloring by incident involved some racers. Hard incident suffered by Davide Valsecchi. Here that incident video.

News : GP2 Sepang 2012, Rio Haryanto finish 12th in his first race

Rio Haryanto have not managed to get points in the first GP2 races of Malaysia. Indonesia rider of Marussia Carlin was ranked 12th.

In the 30 lap feature race at the Sepang Circuit on Saturday (3/24/2012) Rio who started from 17th position to finish in 56 minutes 53.553 seconds. Feature race was won by Team Arden driver, Luiz Razia. Razia completed the race in 56 minutes 0.250 seconds.

Better result obtained by Rio teammate, Max Chilton. Chilton on the podium after finish in third place with a time of 56 minutes 27.616 seconds. Rio still have a chance to get points in Malaysia. He will race in the sprint race today (3/25/2012).
