News : F1 Korean GP 2011, Lewis Hamilton break Red Bull pole record

Lewis Hamilton appeared as the fastest racer in the Korean Grand Prix qualifying session. These results break the pole records that always reached by Red Bull since the start of the season.

At the session held at the Circuit Yeongnam, Saturday (15/10/2011), Hamilton incised record time of 1 minute and 35.820 seconds. He is successful ahead of Sebastian Vettel, who was in second position, with a distance of 0.222 seconds.

Meanwhile, the third and fourth position is occupied by Jenson Button and Mark Webber. Both left 0.306 seconds and 0.468 seconds behind Hamilton's time records.

This is the first time this season, pole position is not occupied by the Red Bull racer. As for Hamilton himself, this is his first pole since the Canadian Grand Prix 2010.

Neither Button or Hamilton already showed their pace since the second free practice session, where they always turn to be the fastest racer. Hamilton also had expressed his belief to be the fastest in the qualifying session.

Fernando Alonso wins GP of Korea to lead the standings

Fernando Alonso took over as the world's top racing Formula One (F1), after appearing as a winner in a very violent fight in the Korean Grand Prix, today.

29-year-old driver won for the third time in the last four races with Ferrari, after a rival who drove from pole position and the previous top standings, Sebastian Vettel Red Bull Racing Team, was forced to resign because of the engine erupted in the 46th round of 55 cycles have completed all the rider.

South Korea's race ended when the day was almost dark, after the race was delayed due to rain early in the game and raised a red flag because there is a problem trajectory.

With two races remaining, Alonso is now bagging 231 points, while Webber was in second place with 220 points. Hamilton in second position to make 2008 world champion was sitting in third place with 210 points, while Vettel ladder slumped to fourth with 206.

The competition was very excruciating evening for the defending world champion Jenson Button, who finished 12th for McLaren, because there are problems after the pit stops.

30-year-old rider from England with 42 points adrift of Alonso while the rest of the contested points to stay 50 points.
