News : 2013 Honda Fit EV on sale in California, USA

The manufacturer Honda has begun shipping their flagship electric vehicle Honda Fit EV 2013 to city of Torrance in California, United States. Honda Fit will be marketed in stages starting from California and into Oregon this summer.

Honda Fit EV has an electric motor capable of developing power to 123 hp and a battery 20 kWh lithium-ion batteries that could make this car drive up to a distance of 193 miles on a single full battery charge.

"This is a very good day for us. Taking steps towards vision for Honda to reduce CO2 emissions. For now city of Torrance became our main goal," said Steve Center as reported by autoevolution, Wednesday (01/25/2012).


Steve further explained that Honda has a long history with introduction of electric vehicles was started by the first electric car EV Plus on 15 years ago.

News : Rally Dakar 2012, Robby Gordon won Stage 10

U.S. racer, Robby Gordon won Stage 9th Rally Dakar 2012. With a victory at this stage, Gordon managed to cut the difference in time with Stephane Peterhansel in the standings.

Gordon record a time of 4 hours 35 minutes 21 detik. Stage 9 with route Antofagasta-Iquique in Chile along the 556 km, Tuesday (10/01/2012).

Peterhansel took second place with a difference of 1 minute and 38 seconds of Gordon. Third position belonged to Nani Roma who record 4 hours 43 minutes 58 seconds.

In the general standings, Peterhansel is still leading with a record total of 24 hours 41 minutes 14 seconds. Gordon is stalking in second position 5 minutes 58 seconds adrift. Krzystof Holowczyc in third position with a difference of 16 minutes 49 seconds of Peterhansel.

Meanwhile, in bike category, Cyril Despres won ninth stage. He noted within 5 hours 4 minutes 33 seconds, 3 minutes 54 seconds ahead of Marc Coma.

This victory makes Derpres return to the top of the standings with a record total of 28 hours 30 minutes 17 seconds. Coma is in second place with a difference of 2 minutes 28 seconds. Helder Rodrigues third position is occupied by a margin of 59 minutes 19 seconds.

The tenth stage will be held on Wednesday (11/01/2012) local time by taking the route of Iquique to Arica in Chile.

News : Ford sold 2 million units throughout 2011 in U.S.

Ford re-established itself as the original brand of the United States (U.S.) most healthy post-2008 global financial crisis. Throughout 2011, the Ford Motor Company managed to sell 2 million units of vehicles in the U.S.. This amount is a record company since 2007. Similarly, the company announced on its release last December 30.

Contribution is derived from the Fiesta and Focus with the increase in sales to 20 percent this year. While the segment pickups and SUVs like the Explorer SUV, the Escape and the F-150 pickup rose 30 percent.

Ford - the second largest car manufacturer in the U.S. - managed to reap the benefits of the total market increased 10 percent (from January to November) in 2011. "The total new car market rose an average of 13 million units in just three months of the end of 2011. This shows the positive momentum deviations not," said Ken Czubay, vice president of Ford's U.S. Sales and Marketing.

Casey Stoner won the MotoGP victory in the United States after winning a fierce duel with Jorge Lorenzo who finally had to settle for finishing in second position.

Stoner finished the race by 32 laps at Laguna Seca, with the fastest time. Repsol Honda rider was defeated Lorenzo (Yamaha) and Dani Pedrosa (Repsol Honda).

Video : Qualifying MotoGP Laguna Seca 2011, Lorenzo crash and take pole

Video : WSBK Miller 2011 Race 2, Carlos Checa make double win

The Spaniard Carlos Checa who dominated the race, again won the WSBK Miller Race 2 with perfect. Althea team Ducati rider enters the finish line first with a gap 7 seconds faster than Camier who finished in second place.
